The bulb is likely not fastened correctly. This causes the bulb to burn out more frequently because of intermittent voltage. To prevent this, make sure the bulb is not loose or connected improperly. This may also be an issue with your electrical panel and circuit.

If the box cannot provide enough power, the outlet will stop working. Oftentimes you can reset the outlet with button on the covering. The problem is likely the breaker.

It is not alarming for a dimmer switch to be warm to the touch. If a dimmer switch is hot, there is a problem. The bulb’s wattage may be too much for the dimmer or there could be a problem with the breaker.
